Using HappyNeuron Pro’s Scheduled Exercises Feature
Did you know that you can create highly customized exercise plans for your clients using HappyNeuron Pro? HappyNeuron Pro has a Scheduled Exercise feature, which allows you to order and change the different cognitive exercises that you would like your client to do. In this blog post, we will discuss the what, when, where, how, and why you can use this nifty feature available in our program.
The Scheduled Exercises feature is located directly in your client’s HappyNeuron Pro profile under the Workouts tab. This option allows you to create customized templates of cognitive exercises that you can load before a session with your client or for them to do at home. This exercise feature does not automatically replenish, unlike the Generate Workouts option, so you will want to save your custom-designed exercise plan for your client and have to pre-load it for them before they complete it.
Sometimes, you may want to have your client perform exercises with specific stimuli, help, or time constraint settings. In the Advanced Settings of the exercises, you are able to change different parameters within each exercise to create a custom variant for your client to perform. You may also want your client to perform exercises in a specific order. With the Scheduled Exercises feature, you can drag and drop exercises according to the order of how you would like your client to perform them.
Pro Tip: If you would like your client to perform an exercise more than once, just click the + sign next to the exercise in the Enabled Exercises section again.
This option is available directly in each client’s profile in the Workouts tab. You can use this feature with one or all of your clients as much as you would like!
First, log into your HappyNeuron Pro account. Select the Users tab, and choose a client of yours that you would like to work with. In the client’s profile, select the Workouts tab. Click on the Add Exercises at the bottom, which will allow you to access the Exercises that you have turned on in the Exercises tab in your client’s profile. If you want to add an exercise that is not in the Enabled Exercise list that pops up, just go back to the Exercises tab within your client’s profile to turn on the exercises that you would like your client to perform. Next, add the exercises to the Scheduled Exercises list. You can then drag and drop them in the order that you would like your client to perform them and click on the pencil icon to the right of the exercise title to customize them.
Voila! You have now created a customized workout for your client!
Pro tip: Below the list of Scheduled Exercises, you will see a Save as template button. Click on this button to save this configuration of exercises. Otherwise, after your client completes the exercises in the list, they will no longer be available and you will have to remake the list as you had before. Saving the exercises as a template allows you to reuse the same configuration of exercises if you would like to with this client or all clients that you work with!
This feature allows you to be in complete control of what your client does and how they do it. You can create highly customized exercise plans beyond the general configurations available to you in the Generate Workouts option. This is the feature that allows you to modify exercises by using the Advanced Settings for each exercise that you would like your clients to perform.
Pro Tip: You can use this feature in conjunction with the Generate Workouts option. This is a great option if you would like your client to practice cognitive skills at home and do something more specialized with you or on their own afterwards.
HappyNeuron Pro puts you, the clinician, in complete control of your client’s therapy plan. HappyNeuron Pro allows you to automate therapy, as well as get down in the dirt with what your client is doing to modify it according to the plan that you have set for your client. Using the Scheduled Exercises feature allows you to customize your client’s exercises according to their needs and your plan for your client.
